I have been taking more pictures of what I am working on. I am still a little overwhelmed by all the projects I have lined up, but I guess that's what happens when you are a knitter. First off, I found this little package at my door Wednesday:
And can you guess what is inside?!? This:
and this:

I can't wait to get started on this! Elenn did forget to send me the chart along with the pattern, but they were so nice and quick to email it to me instead of snail-mailing it. Since it's on email I can print off a bunch and mark 'em up with notes as much as I want to!
On the sweater front, I have made some progress on the 2nd baby sweater:
I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of the first pink sweater. I had actually moved onto my second skein of blue, but had a huge delima; they were diffrent dye lots. On the pink sweater, I didn't even bother checking dye lots and all the yarn was the same color. On this one, they are very different shades of blue. I don't know what to do now. Do I just start the top half in a different color? Do I start over? I will have to ponder this more. I was thinking of putting in a white stripe and then the different blue, but I don't want that type of design element in the sweater. I have also been thinking about pockets, but that wouldn't hide the color change in the back. Again, something to think on more.
And as for my sock kick, I have finished one for myself. My first pair of socks for me!
However, as I get closer to finishing up this pair, I have been considering giving them to my grandma instead. Her birthday is in July and these would be perfect. Well, guess it's back to no socks for me.
I also did a bad thing last night. I was blog hopping earlier this week and came across a pattern for a multi-directional scarf. "Oh," thinks I, "that looks fun and somewhat challenging. I must try it." So I did. I cast on for a multi-directional scarf with some verigated Red Heart Luster Sheen finger weight yarn. It's varigated with Bob Marley/Mardi Gras colors. Purple, Green, Yellow, and Red.
I am starting to dig it!
